G.X. Jupitter-Larsen was born in Denver, Colorado in 1959. In the late 1970s he moved to Vancouver, Canada. There he began his activities in the mail art network and other underground scenes. He has been involved in the punk-rock, the cassette and the zine culture and the coordinated Pawel Petasz‘ Commonpress Editions during the period of Polish martial law from 1981 to 1989. In his performances he is known for nihilism, as the founder of The Haters, he practiced hardcore noise live and brought out noise-music on over 300 records and CD’s. In his appearances (oftentimes wearing a rubber mask), he worked with an angle grinder on rubber tires that hung above the audience. In the 1990s he worked as a sound designer for Mark Pauline’s Survival Research Laboratories. He made films and video works, published three novels and produced many hours of radio.
G.X. Jupitter-Larsen now lives in Hollywood, California.

G.X. Jupitter-Larsen wurde 1959 in Denver, Colorado, geboren. In den späten 1970er Jahren zog er nach Vancouver, Canada. Dort begann er seine Aktivitäten im Mail Art-Netzwerk und anderen Underground-Szenen. Er hat sich an der Punk-Rock-, der Kassetten- und der Zine-Kultur beteiligt und koordinierte für Pawel Petasz während der Zeit des polnischen Kriegsrechts von 1981 bis 1989 dessen Commonpress Editionen. In seinen Performances bekannte er sich zum Nihilismus, als Gründer von The Haters praktizierte er Hardcore-Noise live und brachte diese Lärm-Musik auch auf über 300 Schallplatten und CD’s heraus. In seinen Auftritten (gern mit Gummimaske) bearbeitete er z.B. mit einem Trennschleifer über die Zuschauer gehängte Gummireifen. In den 1990er Jahren war er als Sound-Designer für Mark Pauline’s Survival Research Laboratories tätig. Er hat Videoarbeiten und Filme gemacht, drei Romane veröffentlicht sowie viele Stunden Radio produziert.
G.X. Jupitter-Larsen wohnt heute in Hollywood, Kalifornien.
