Leben und Arbeit/biography
Dobrica Kamperelić was born in Beograd, former Jugoslavia in 1947. He studied law at the University of Beograd. After his graduation he worked as lawyer in a publishing house. In the 1960s he was drummer of the group The Impossibles. In 1968 he started writing and painting. In the late seventies he began to collaborate with the international scenes of concrete and visual poetry and the Mail Art scene. He participated in various Mail Art projects and had single exhibitions all over the world. From 1985 to 1996 he published the Mail Art-Magazine Open World and he is author of four books. He is furthermore a member of the Serbian Writers Association UKS and the Serbian Visual Artists Association ULUS.
Dobrica Kamperelić died January 17, 2020.

Dobrica Kamperelić wurde 1947 in Belgrad in Jugoslawien geboren. Er studierte an der Belgrader Universität Jura. Nach dem Abschluss arbeitete er als Jurist in einem Verlag. In den 1960er Jahren war er außerdem Drummer in der Band The Impossibles. 1968 fing er zu schreiben und zu malen an. In den späten 1970er Jahren trat er in Kontakt mit den internationalen Szenen der Konkreten und Visuellen Poeten sowie der Mail Art. Er nahm an vielen Mail Art-Projekten teil und hatte weltweit Einzelausstellungen. Von 1985 bis 1996 gab er das kleine Mail Art-Magazin Open World heraus. Dobrica Kamperelić ist Autor von vier Büchern und Mitglied im Serbischen Schriftstellerverband UKS und im Verband der Visuellen Künstler Serbien ULUS.
Dobrica Kamperelić starb am 17. Januar 2020.
